I'm trying to make a sig of my own using this guide and It's not turning out looking anything like that. I'm very frustrated and I feel stupid, I've always sucked at art so no shocker here that I can't comprehend how to make a sig. Every tutorial I've followed I end up just coming out with the most ugly, horrible and sad picture ever. I might as well get a pencil and just make a stick figure. /wrists, I fail at life.

You remove the background layer after making the nebula. Make new layers for each part of the nebula as instructed, then just delete the BG layer and merge.
